In 1976, the president of Kistler McDougall Corporation, Herman Kistler, was the first salesman hired by Consolidated Aluminum (Alucobond) to sell Aluminum Composite Material (ACM) in the southeastern United States.  After eight years of selling and marketing ACM and other architectural metals, Herman, along with Wylie and John McDougall, incorporated Kistler McDougall, a specialty contractor.

Kistler McDougall, the sister company of John W. McDougall Company in Nashville, Tennessee, sells, fabricates and installs ACM in the southeastern United States.  We also promote and install Translucent Daylighting Solutions and other wall material manufactured by Kalwall Corporation.

Kistler McDougall continues to sell high-quality architectural products in the construction industry while promoting our products and systems to architects in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida and Alabama.  Over the years, we have successfully sold, managed, fabricated, bonded and financed projects at airports, universities, hospitals, car dealerships, as well as other commercial and architectural applications.

Our job portfolio includes work at Duke University, North Carolina State University, North Carolina A&T State University, Appalachian State University, Clemson University, University of South Carolina, University of Georgia, Georgia Tech University, Auburn University, and the University of Florida.  We have completed projects at the following airports: Miami International, Orlando International, Tampa International, Okaloosa County, and Hartsfield-Jackson International.  Kistler-McDougall has also performed work at the LSU Stadium Expansion, Boca Raton Hospital, Memorial Mission Hospital, Western Wake Medical, U.S. Express, and Arnold Palmer Hospital.  In addition, we are continuously involved in many corporate I.D. programs such as Honda, Nissan, Toyota, Bank of America, Rooms To Go, and CarMax.
